Women's health services
Need a check-up? Time for a mammogram? Wondering why you don’t have the energy you once had?
It’s important for women to get annual physicals. An annual check-up includes a complete physical exam and allows your provider time to discuss lifestyle habits, order crucial screening tests and review or update immunizations. This is the chance for you and your provider to set a baseline for your overall health and notice when and if changes happen.
Physical exams vary depending on a provider’s clinical approach, but may include:
- Blood tests (anemia, kidney or liver disease, diabetes, high cholesterol)
- Breast exam
- Extremities exam
- Family history review
- Head and neck exam
- Heart exam
- Lung exam
- Neurological exam
- Overall appearance review
- Vital signs assessment (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, respiration rate)
Age-appropriate screening tests like colonoscopies and mammograms may also be ordered.
Our providers provide comprehensive primary care services for women during all stages of life. You can feel secure knowing that you’re connected to the entire Appledore Medical Group family of expert providers and specialists. We’re close. And we’re ready to care for you.

Primary care for our Veterans
Across the country, there is a significant need to ensure care for our veterans — the men and women who’ve served us through time in the military. Ensuring compassionate, respectful health care for our military members and service veterans is about more than giving them comprehensive benefits — it’s about removing barriers, cutting red tape, providing all the specialty care they might need and understanding the challenges veterans face.
