Comprehensive primary care in Portsmouth

Our primary care team, including family doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, provides comprehensive, personalized treatment for patients of all ages, including pediatric, general, and geriatric. Our providers make it a priority to provide a full spectrum of care to all of our patients, as well as educate patients on healthy habits and preventive care. Diagnostic testing

Our office also offers diagnostic testing to help provide the most accurate treatment plan for patients. We provide a variety of diagnostic testing options for patients, such as:

  • Electrocardiogram (EKG)—Used to measure the electrical activity of the heart
  • Pregnancy testing—A urinary or blood test used to determine pregnancy
  • Urinary testing- to look for infection or screen for sexually transmitted infections (STI)
  • A1C -finger stick blood test to screen for or manage diabetes
  • Glucose finger stick
  • Rapid flu testing
  • Rapid strep test (for strep throat)
  • Rapid RSV testing (pediatrics only)
  • Finger stick lead and anemia screening (pediatrics only)

Procedures we perform

Appledore Family Medicine and Pediatrics is thrilled to be a training site for the Portsmouth Regional Hospital/Tufts University Family Medicine Residency program. Our physicians are faculty affiliated with Tufts University and are helping to train full spectrum primary care providers, in true birth to death care. We are passionate about primary care as the backbone of a healthy society and are proud to be helping addressing the national primary care shortage through training the next generation of family physicians.

Visiting our facility

Our Portsmouth family medicine clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm, with free parking. We are currently accepting new patients.
